Products - Nyrim® Low Ground Pressure Track Pads
BLS Enterprises, Inc., the maker of the number one polyurethane street pads, TUFPADS® track pads, has introduced Nyrim® track pads as the newest member of its extensive range of products. BLS Enterprises' mission is to provide quality track products for use on track vehicles, to protect the surface on which the vehicles work.
Nyrim® track pads are made from a patented high-strength industrial polymer material to be used when low ground pressure and high flotation are needed to minimize ground damage in sensitive environmental areas. The track pads do not require a steel base, as the Nyrim® material itself usually is strong enough to support the load of a complete machine. Nyrim® track pads can be used as swamp shoes, dozer pads or V-track pads. These wide, flexible, and lightweight Nyrim® track pads have a large surface area, and they are designed to be used on soft ground where heavy machines with steel tracks will do unacceptable damage. Ground pressures as low as 1.5 psi have been achieved. Areas such as swamps, tundra, rice fields, peat moss areas, membrane-filled landfill sites, or even cranberry fields, are typical places where these new Nyrim® track pads can be effectively utilized. Nyrim® track pads have been used in similar areas outside of North America for several years with great success.
The fifty-five inch-wide Nyrim® track pads fit a wide variety of track chains and machines, or they can be custom fitted to your specific machine. Nyrim® track pads have other great features too. An individual steel grouser pad can be up to three times heavier than a nylon Nyrim® track pad, and this can add up to as much as four tons per machine. Saving four tons with Nyrim® pads can maximize flotation on soft ground, or, conversely, a substantial increase in payload capacity can be expected with no increase in ground damage.
As one would expect from a BLS Enterprises product, Nyrim® track pads are tough too. They are made from a very strong nylon material that is non-corrosive, that will withstand the heaviest repetitive loads without breakage, that has a self-cleaning surface, and that will maintain its shape after years of exposure to wet environments. Nyrim® track pads also have high abrasion resistance, and they are resistant to the sun's ultra-violet rays.
To summarize, new Nyrim® track pads are environmentally friendly because they allow track vehicles to travel over soft ground without sinking, and they reduce soil compaction and minimize ground damage.
